Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a field superintendent managing commercial construction projects
- Commercial Construction Superintendent. Job duties include the ability to manage and coordinate multi-million dollar hard bid projects while working closely with Architects, Engineers and Owners to maintain schedules and control construction costs. Compile daily logs of project documents i.e. RFI’s, ASI’s and shop drawings.

- Ability to positively collaborate with Owners, Architects and Subcontractors to meet project goals

Interpret building plans, drawings, and sketches to determine material needs and dimensions

Measure, cut, shape, and install wood, plywood, wallboard, plastic, and other materials

Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, ceilings, and doorframes

Set interior and exterior blocking and backing

Install door and window components and basic finish elements

Complete basic concrete formwork, including placing and finishing concrete as needed

Use forming systems (modular or handmade)

Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment

Perform quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and project standards

Collaborate and communicate with laborers, supervisors, and other trades

Adapt to various job site tasks and pitch in wherever needed

Proven carpentry experience and results (union apprenticeship or equivalent training preferred)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents

Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measurement equipment (e.g., levels, squares, saws)

Physical strength and agility to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work at heights

Willingness to work outdoors in various Minnesota weather conditions

Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away

Understanding of building codes, job site safety standards, and quality expectations

- 3-4 years of experience in commercial construction
