We are pleased to announce key leadership changes including the promotion of Matt Jorgenson to president. Along-side Matt Jorgenson’s promotion, comes the announcement of owner and founder Stan Jorgenson stepping down and moving into an executive consulting role as Chairman and CEO.
Matt Jorgenson Promoted to President
An 18-year veteran of the construction industry, Matt Jorgenson is a graduate of Minnesota State University in Mankato where he earned his bachelor of science degree in construction management. Serving in a variety of management roles, from project manager to vice president, over the past 15 years, Matt Jorgenson has managed more than $300 million of construction projects for a variety of clients. In addition, Matt also played a critical role in the firms continued growth, resulting in JCI being listed as #17 on the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50 with a growth rate of 84.9% between 2016 and 2018.
In his new role as president, Matt Jorgenson will support and oversee all aspects of JCI’s operations for all markets, which include corporate workplace, education, healthcare, community and worship, government, and manufacturing. He will also work closely with other members of the leadership team to ensure JCI continues toward steady growth into the future.
“Matt was raised as a member of the JCI team, and has been involved in some aspect of the company since day-one. He has been instrumental in creating a strategic plan and establishing goals for the future of JCI. His drive to succeed paired with his honest respect and appreciation for the people he works with and for will allow Jorgenson Construction to not only sustain whatever the future holds, but thrive,” exclaimed Stan Jorgenson, founder of Jorgenson Construction.
“I am honored to have earned this opportunity to build on the success my father and the Jorgenson team have created over the last 38 years. Bringing Jorgenson Construction to its second generation of success has been a goal I have had from the time I was a young boy. I am excited for the future of this great company as I continue to focus on the growth of our team. I am proud of the workmanship and honesty that we bring to our clients and contractors,” state Matt Jorgenson, President of Jorgenson Construction.
Stan Jorgenson Named Chairman and CEO
Owner and founder, Stan Jorgenson will leave his post later this year, as he transitions into an executive chairman role. In his new role, Stan Jorgenson will continue to be involved in the firm in a limited capacity, focused on providing “big picture” direction, advice and support, as well as assisting with special projects.
Stan Jorgenson, 67, founded Jorgenson Construction in 1983 and has since morphed the firm from a small TI contractor into a major player in the commercial construction market. With an annual revenue approaching $60 million and an exceptional safety rating, Jorgenson Construction continues to be viewed upon as one of Minnesota’s most trusted construction partners, allowing them to remain a competitive force in the Twin Cities and surrounding metro area.
“I am pleased to announce that with the promotion of Matt Jorgenson (son) to President, I’ll be transitioning into an executive chairman role as CEO,” states Stan Jorgenson. “In this new role, I intend to focus my energies and attention on providing ideas and foresight for new pursuits and early initiatives. When not supporting JCI, I look forward to spending more time with my grandkids as well as golfing, fishing and doing yardwork. Over the years, firm growth has been steady. I believe Matt and the exceptional team he has in place will carry that positive trajectory forward. Matt brings the knowledge, relationships, and experience to create the next generation of growth. He will continue to be an outstanding leader, and he has my full confidence.”
