We are please to announce the promotion of Lon Schueth to General Superintendent, creating a new role for a leader who has spent 26 years learning the work from the ground up. Schueth will help oversee Jorgenson’s active projects, supporting project teams and mentoring superintendents as part of our long-term succession plan.
The role builds on what Schueth has done throughout his career: bring people together, keep complicated work organized and maintain clear communication across a project team. He will serve as a bridge between the field and office teams to help coordinate work, address challenges and deliver a strong experience for clients and employees.
Schueth joined Jorgenson as a carpenter in April 2000. After four years in the field, he became a foreman and soon began leading projects of his own. He later advanced to Senior Superintendent, leading projects across the company. Among those projects are Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis and the Goodhue County Human Services Building in Red Wing.

At Central Lutheran Church, Jorgenson delivered a 30,000-square-foot addition connecting to the original 1924 structure. The new space provides accessible room for the church’s community programs, including its Great Hall. The project was named a Top Project by Finance & Commerce.
At the Goodhue County Human Services Building in Red Wing, Schueth led a major renovation and four-story addition designed to match the existing limestone structure. The work demanded close coordination among subcontractors, city officials and permitting agencies on a tight site. Sourcing and procuring limestone to match the historic building added another layer of planning and detail.
“Lon is organized, communicates clearly and knows how to work with people,” said Matt Jorgenson, president of Jorgenson Construction. “Those strengths matter on every project, and especially on complex work where the details, the schedule and the relationships all must stay aligned. This role will allow us to leverage Lon’s experience to elevate our project delivery and continue to develop our up-and-coming field leaders.”
Schueth says the culture is what has kept him at Jorgenson, “Jorgenson has been a great place to grow my career. Working for a family-owned company brings a special culture. They have always taken care of me and allowed me to grow. I’ve learned a lot over the years, and I’m looking forward to sharing that experience and helping the next generation of superintendents grow.”
